 Got my NEW copy of Comic Artist's Photo Reference: People and Poses that DOES include the CD (the first copy I bought did not) and decided to try out using a ref with my new favorite starship captain: James T. Kirk!

Yeah, I know his pants are weird...and he's not supposed to look like Chris Pine...well, kind of. I tried to copy his nose structure and stuff. His eyebrows are WAAAAAAAY too small to be Pine's though. LOL

The pose looked A LOT better before I hurriedly colored it. Oh well. He's holding a very 2-dimensional phaser. LOL (again)

Been Doin' Some Ruminatin'...

 Yay for Southern dialects. The real ones. Not Hollywood ones. HEAR THAT, BALE. YOUR ACCENT IN ENEMIES SUCKED BUTT. YEAH.

I was very disappointed by that movie. But I'm over that now...just a word to the wise: don't see it.

Anyhoo...I was ruminating (pondering/thinking deeply/refusing to let go) over the lack of activity on my LJ which is where I intended to post all my daily rambles plus art + fiction + other updates that go in that category.

I think the daily rambles can stay over there since they aren't that important. But what about me posting sketches and WIPs over here at good ol' Xanga? Anyone interested in seeing some stuff like that? I know I always like looking at random people's sketches and stuff on their blogs...so just wondering.

OH LET ME TELL YOU...Star Trek '09 has converted me to Trekkerdom. OH YEAH. I'm in love with Capt. Kirk and would probably bang Bones on the side FRSURE. Chekov is the cutest thing since sliced bread and Sulu is just made of win. Oh and there's that Vulcan guy and his uh-whore...uh (lol). Naw, Spockie's cool and since I started watching the original series, Uhura's growing on me :D

So there will be Trekkie sketch-dumps in my random art posts. Any objections. GOOD. CUZ THEY'RE COMING ANYWAY! >D

OH GUESS WHUT?! I found this website (Ongaku-Chunk) that has Japanese CDs for sale at a reasonable price. The owner buys the CDs and then resells them to poor Americans who like Asian music. Isn't she sweet??? (she really is. I talked to her via e-mail and she's so nice!). I bought OLIVIA's The Cloudy Dreamer  + DVD and Hamasaki Ayumi's My Story + DVD (two of my FAVE CDs.) So to get myself pumped for when they arrive, I'm listening to both on repeat :DDDDD

Okay, that's enough completely random shit from me. I'm tired...

Yay! I'm 18 officially! Huzzah!

I feel no different. Each member of my family asked me that after wishing me a happy birthday. Just want to make it clear: I FEEL NO DIFFERENT.

However, I haven't done any 18-exclusive things yet. And most of them I don't WANT to do...so yeah.

Anyhoo, YAY for me! I'm excited. Finally going to see Star Trek tonight with the familia and maybe my buds. Went out to the Japanese steakhouse with buds last night and then bought He's Just Not That Into You. Love that movie. Oh and Serenity on Blu-ray. Haven't been able to fully experience it yet because the new HDMI cable hasn't come yet...but oh, I will...I will MWAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, I'm hyper. But I'm 18! So yay!

PS The Mirror's Edge review is coming soon. I finished it on Monday and am replaying it and trying to do the speed runs. I'm trying to get all of what I want to say ready BEFORE I write it. Should be in the next week or so...

I cried. I seriously cried. I'm so happy it is over and that I can move on to be a real adult...but I'm going to miss it. It would be a lie to say that I won't. And I didn't realize how much I would miss it until it was over.

However, I'm going to move forward proudly with my head held high (just as my valedictorian best friend's speech said).

Okay, I needs some assistance over the summer. No it is not financial (though that totally would come in handy...jk).

Here's the thing: I'm between obsessions. I'm feeling artsy. But I don't know what to draw.

My plea to you, dear reader: Give me something to draw. Tell me what you want and I'll crap it out on paper for you.

All I want in return is you saying, "OMG! That's awesome!" or "Mmmmkay...can we fix this plzkthx?"

If you feel the need to pay, let's do a trade instead. I'll take whatever you offer <3

I really need to get some practice done and all the stuff I've been working on is just sitting on my comp because I don't want to finish it. If I know someone is waiting for it, I'll be more apt to finish it. Get it?

The only thing I won't draw is porn. And if you request something of questionable nature...well, let's just say I'll probably be working on things at school until May 28th. After that, go crazy!
